SS - Single Stage - Single Acting
SS (Single Stage – Single Acting) boosters use a single compression stage and compress gas during only one piston stroke direction. This is the most compact and economical solution for increasing the pressure of nitrogen, compressed air, helium and other compatible gases.
ADVANTAGES
• Compact and robust design
• Minimal maintenance
• High operational reliability
• Ideal for medium-to-high pressures and moderate flow rates
Examples of use
FINAL PRESSURE CALCULATION
PB = PL × i
PL = drive pressure
PB = final pressure
i = pneumatic compression ratio
Example:
Drive pressure = 10 bar
Pressure ratio = 1:25
PB = 10 × 25 = 250 bar
