Gas Booster
MPS Technology Gas Boosters are pneumatic pressure intensifiers designed for the transfer and compression of technical gases such as oxygen, nitrogen, helium, argon, hydrogen, and other compatible gases. Thanks to the wide range of available configurations, each model can be selected according to inlet pressure, required final pressure, and flow rate requirements.
The different versions are distinguished by their compression ratio, displacement volume, and maximum achievable pressure, allowing the system performance to be optimized for specific operating conditions. This extensive product range covers applications from cylinder filling and gas storage systems to industrial processes, pressure testing, and specialized pure-gas applications.
To ensure maximum flexibility and compatibility with different operating environments and gas characteristics, selected models are available in two construction versions:
- Polymer Version (P): lightweight, corrosion-resistant, and ideal for applications requiring reduced weight, high resistance to external agents, and easy handling.
- Alluminium Version (A): robust construction with excellent mechanical strength, particularly suitable for demanding industrial applications and permanent installations.
The availability of both P and A versions allows users to choose the most suitable solution according to gas compatibility, environmental conditions, and operational requirements, while maintaining the high standards of safety, reliability, and ease of maintenance that distinguish all MPS Technology Gas Boosters.

SS - Single Stage - Single Acting
SS (Single Stage – Single Acting) boosters use a single compression stage and compress gas during only one piston stroke direction. This is the most compact and economical solution for increasing the pressure of nitrogen, compressed air, helium and other compatible gases.

SD - Single Stage - Double Acting
SD (Single Stage – Double Acting) boosters compress gas during both piston strokes. The double-acting design provides higher flow rates and faster cycles compared to single-acting models.

DS - Double Stage - Single Acting
